A celebration of you as a mother.
Welcoming in the you who is becoming and letting go of who you once were.
I’m sure you had a baby shower with gifts for the baby, games, drinks and cake.
Guess the weight of the baby, new baby grows left right and centre.
Maybe you had a naming ceremony, a christening or gathering to celebrate your new arrival.
But where was the celebration of you? The mother? The acknowledgement of your new identity?
The new you that is becoming.
A reflection of who you were before and will no longer be, the parts of you that you may grieve.
And the new parts of you that you welcome in.
Making space for the parts of you that you are yet to uncover. The parts that might have been hidden from sight but are being uncovered.
Perhaps you’ve been feeling - but what about me?
Where do I fit into all of this - of bringing a new life into the world?
This ceremony is a celebration of it all – the before the now and the becoming. To pause, reflect, grieve, acknowledge all of it.
And do it alongside other mothers.
You might have just had your baby, or your babies might be older now. This is a space for all mothers.
This is a space to celebrate this new and ever evolving identity, claim it for yourself and declare -
